ich schaetze, dass zid gebuendeltes adsl meinte. und zwar gebuendelt im doppelten sinn: mehrere leitungen und nicht entbuendelt. das bieten afaik nur *sehr* wenige an. (wenn du es inzwischen auch schon machst, dann sag bitte was )

Yes, they are a consulting firm for telecommunication. I think, they could be a good bet for you to get a overview of the costs etc. Maybe they can help.

@Jutta: Yes, i had my contact via their office in vienna (Wien). So they are also in the austrian market active.

I have asked the current company for bundled options an they said it is not possible.

@bundled options: normally only SHDSL can be bundled. as Stefan Hedenig explained, SHDSL is not available in Heiligenkreuz. so no bundled SHDSL either. there are very few companies that also offer bundled ADSL. you could contact a sales-rep from ascus http://www.ascus-telecom.com/ or http://www.ascus.at for an offer. but you can't expect miracles from bundled adsl given the distance between your location and the CO.

the other option (if you don't want to go for fiber or radio) would be to contact A1 (telekom austria) and ask them under which conditions they would install SHDSL equipment in Heiligenkreuz. there again you should try to contact a sales-rep and not just the holine. and your organisation should be willing to take a long-term contract because SHDSL equipment is expensive and A1 won't be willing to make the investment and then let you go after a year or two.

on the long run (and if your organisation wants to stay at the location) fiber is probably the best solution.

if you are not sure about the long-term usage, I'd go for radio.

Bis heute hätt ich keinen anderen Provider diesbezüglich in AT gesehen. In DE
gibts einige Provider. Aber ich lass mich gerne überzeugen.

I think moving the office is not an option for us.

We applied for fiber, as it has easier and better upgrade options.

It will be difficult however as the profile of our organisation is to provide education the means should be found.

I have info from companies in Vienna that payed about 5000 for connection and pay over 1500/month .

So my conclusion is, the prices are very high but they are not unrealistic.

We are not the only one that will be paying so much.

Give our profile we do not have any other option than go for a better connection.

well, if you don't want to move then you have to pay the price (either no high bandwidth or €€€)
you don't have to apply: aks for a quote, then order the product. You might be asked for a down payment.

out of couriosity: what's the profile of this educational organisation?

the solutiuon is using a extern streamingserver, beacuse it will reduce your upload need dramaticaly.

I want to thank you all for your opinions and help in this matter.

As i said before we decided to go Fiber even it was more expensive, in our case it is justified.

Now the service is connected, and running, the speeds are very close to what is promised. It all depends with whom i test.
