XLink 10GB for just 30EUR???

Beitragvon dave9296 » Fr 25 Nov, 2005 13:56

I can read German, but writing is just too difficult right now. Hopefully I won't offend anyone by writing in English!
A friend just found the XLink offer of 10GB for just 30EUR/month.
How is this possible, when AON and Inode don't even offer the HALF of that for the same price??
Is XLink a competent company?

XLink is a very young company. as far as I can see from the postings here, customer experience mixed. ... eg long time to get a reply to an e-mail. if you use the search engine you will find some related threads. on the other hand: customers who have no troubles don't post in forums like this one.
just write them an email asking for credentials.

www.xlink.at

There was a xlink member here on the board, wasnt it?

anyway, they got there own ifrastructure like inode and the telecom.
the only thing they need is to leasing the "last mile".
Therefore they can make there own prices.
I hope for them they calculate it well :).

In general there were not much posts about xlink, so i think they are quite okay.
(i remember 2-3 posts about routing problems, dont know if that still exists).

Lets come to the costs.
You have to pay an onetime fee of 129 euro and you have to commit to them for 12 months.

hopefully u can understand that.
my english is bad

(anybody wirting english is fine with me - so don't hesitate ;) )

xlink is right now only in some regions available, so I suggest, first check if this provider offers service at your place at all, before considering any additional points.

as a personal sidenote: I'm not really convinced of their strategy in pretending some "DXL" being a kind of technology. I've never heard of DXL and have still not found anything about this. After some digging in xlink's FAQ it's seems to be just a name for a set of technologies all the other DSL-providers use as well ;)

:merci: for your thoughts everyone!
i did search the forum before posting here, but only found a few threads with some people complaining about billing problems and servers having unexpected downtimes.
in any event, despite my advice to use Inode (which i use), my friend has just signed up with XLink (10GB for 30EUR is just too tempting!!)
Hopefully it will work out for him and maybe TA and Inode will start being a little more competitive with their prices like in DE!!
Seavus!
