Suse 8.2 ADSL ständige Verbindungsabbrüche

Hallo!

Ich habe Linux 8.2 installiert und habe nun versucht ADSL (T-Online) einzurichten. Ich habe sowohl das österreichische Internetpaket installiert (http://www.fl.priv.at/deutsch/adsl/), das hat aber nicht funktioniert. Netzwerkkarte war konfiguriert. Danach habe ich noch die Anleitung nach http://howto.htlw16.ac.at/at-highspeed-howto-2.html gemacht und jetzt komme ich ins Internet, aber jede Minute bricht die Verbindung ab. D.h. ich kann ca. 10s surfen und dann geht 50s nichts.
Mein Modem ist ein Alcatel Speed Touch Home BCAA.

Firewall ist ausgeschalten?

Nein, hat aber leider auch nichts gebracht ausser dass jetzt die Verbindung nach dem Abbruch nicht mehr automatisch aufgebaut wird.
Ich habe einfach im Yast gesagt dass er die Firewall ausschalten soll (obwohl ich dann vermutlich mit Windows+Firewall dann sicherer unterwegs bin).

Es stimmt aber, unter Windows hatte ich das Problem auch dass ich der Firewall sagen musste dass mein Modem firewallmäßig "in Ordnung" ist.

hmmm .. Bin mir jetzt nicht sicher - aber schaut fast so aus als würde das ip-up-Skript was mit der Firewall machen?
/etc/ppp/ip-up

Mach eine Sicherungskopie vom Skript und lösch einmal den ganzen Inhalt von /etc/ppp/ip-up oder bennen es um - wie auch immer.

Aber Achtung! Eventuell ist dann kein Gateway und kein DNS-Server eingetragen. Das kannst Du aber ohne weiteres händisch nachholen. Zum testen, ob dann eine stabile Verbindung hergestellt wird, reicht das aber.
